This historic 1927 building which once housed the Elks Lodge now serves as the headquarters for the Fort Worth YWCA. Komatsu Architecture provided design services for this renovation and restoration project, with major goals including: relocating the Child Care program from the first floor to ground floor, providing security system, code improvements upgrading the building to ADA and fire safety standards, general improvements to upgrade building and site, providing new mechanical systems, addition at north side included new elevator, new exit stairs, new lobby/circulation spaces, interior work includes restoration of high-relief, decorative plaster ceiling at the Ballroom and restoration/ preservation of the painted stenciled ceiling in the ornate Lobby.
